Back for the next NFL season

Touchdown Scorer asks one question each week: which five players will find the end zone? It is all or nothing — every one of your five has to score. Four out of five wins nothing, and when nobody manages all five the pot rolls into the following week. It does not matter whether a pick scores once or three times: a scorer is a scorer, so a hat-trick counts the same as a single plunge from the one-yard line.

A team defence counts as one of your five, and wins on any defensive or special-teams touchdown — an interception returned, a fumble scooped up, a kick or punt taken back. You can pick at most two running backs, which stops a card being three goal-line backs and a prayer.

Picks close at the first kickoff that counts. Midweek games can be left out of a week, so the deadline is usually Sunday rather than Thursday night, which keeps injury and starter news current while you are choosing.

Events covered

  • NFL regular season (September–January)
  • Five touchdown scorers a week
  • Season-long leaderboard

How it works

  1. 1What you pick: 5 touchdown scorers — Players or a team defence, max two running backs.
  2. 2Deadline: First kickoff that counts — Midweek games can be left out, so it is usually Sunday.
  3. 3Winning: All five, or nothing — Nobody hits five? The pot rolls into next week.

The next NFL season kicks off in September.
